This month, we celebrate Mardi Gras and National Random Acts of Kindness Day — both on February 17 this year. We’re calling on our Cov Community here in New Orleans to come together in kindness for homeless youth.
What is the Krewe of Kindness?
Krewes in our city represent belonging, creativity, and community pride. They’re behind the parades and celebrations that lift people up. And they make everything a little brighter for everyone. The purpose of our Krewe of Kindness at Covenant House is to share unconditional love, kindness, and joy with young people who need it most. We’re dedicated to supporting homeless youth and lifting their spirits as they find their own purpose and their path home.
What Is National Random Acts of Kindness Day?
Random Acts of Kindness Day is a time to recognize that even the smallest gesture can make a big difference in someone’s life. It’s a day to celebrate the moments of joy we create when we share compassion with others. Just one act of kindness can heal someone in so many ways and create a ripple effect across our community.
